Chicken Bacon Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast cut into strips
  • 1 pound bacon cubed
  • 1 small red onion chopped
  • 1 pound farfalle pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Romano cheese

Directions

  1. Fry the bacon on low/medium heat in a frying pan until until it is crispy -

    remove and drain bacon on paper towels.

  2. Leave a small amount of bacon grease in the pan, and sautee the onions in this for a couple of minutes. Remove onions.
  3. Add the chicken and cook 7-8 minutes, stirring every minute.

  4. Cook the pasta according to its directions while the chicken is cooking.
  5. Drain the pasta when it is cooked, and add it to the frying pan.
  6. Mix pasta, chicken and the onions.
  7. Now, slowly stir in the cheese and the cream.
  8. Keep the pan on low heat until everything is heated through.
  9. Lastly, add the drained bacon, add a bit of freshly ground black pepper and serve.

Makes 3-4 servings
